About DanceBeats
DanceBeats has been running for just over a year now. Although we are a relatively new company we have accomplished a huge amount in our first year and we hope the next few years will prove to be just as successful.
We originally started off teaching cheerleading and dance in core PE lessons and activity clubs in schools. We are now extending our dance school and aim to provide children and young adults with a variety of classes to enrich their extra-curricular activities.
All DanceBeats classes are taught by experienced teachers and as staff we continue to develop professionally by attending dance and theatre classes ourselves. We believe in lifelong learning and aim to better ourselves as teachers to provide our students with exciting and varied opportunities.
Students can attend as little or as many classes a week as they like. In the current financial climate we understand paying for children’s new activities can be expensive and so we offer discounts when more than one class is taken.
Currently we do not offer any examinations for dance but from April 2010 we will aim to attend one competition a year run by the British Cheerleading Association as they offer both dance and cheerleading competitions. Over the next few years we will aim to introduce graded examinations for those students who wish to take them.
As the founders of DanceBeats, Faye Ashwell and Charli Richardson are the main teaching staff and there will be usually at least one of us present at each class. At DanceBeats we are very pleased to have staff with a variety of skills and experiences. All of us have worked with children of all ages in many different environments and we strive to create nurturing and fun sessions for all students involved in our classes. We believe in providing the highest level of tuition to allow children to reach their full potential. All staff hold current Enhanced CRB Checks, have relevant first-aid training and are qualified through recognised dance and cheerleading organisations.
