Faye Ashwell

About Faye - Principal and Co-Founder
Faye Ashwell has been involved in the world of performing arts since she was 10 years old. As well as being in amateur dramatics and dance for many years she has also worked professionally. She has performed in the famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2006 and has choreographed several pieces of dance for the National Theatre Connections competition, with her work being chosen to transfer to The Lowry, Manchester in 2008, and the Royal and Derngate Theatre, Northampton in 2009.
Alongside this she has passed all four levels of coaching proficiency with the British Cheerleading Association and is an accredited coach with the BCA. Faye is trained with the International Dance Teachers Association and is currently studying part-time for a degree in Education Studies and Psychology at Derby University. Fayes main focus today is running DanceBeats, although she still enjoys guest teaching for other dance and drama schools around Derby.

> Coached the DanceBeats Mickleover Monkeys Cheerleading Squad who received 1st Place at the British Cheerleading Associations Midland Classic Competition 2010
> Guest dance teacher at Centre Stage Theatre Arts, Derby
> Guest dance teacher and cheerleading coach at Studio 86, Derby.
> Choreographer and Assistant Director of CAST Ensemble Derby after performing with the company in tours to Barcelona, Berlin and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2006.
> Choreographed pieces for the National Theatre Connections Project, transferred to The Lowry, Manchester 2008 and The Royal and Derngate Theatre, Northampton 2009.
